My friend's birthday was Saturday so I made her this long scarf (I only had 3 days notice of the party... crazy schedules and all) Made out of 1+ skeins of Yarn Bee yarn - variegated dark brown to cream with bits of pink, green and yellow ribbon (which I know does not show up in the photos :( It is girly enough, but not too girly. It came out to be a really nice length although I did not measure it. She is shorter than me and the scarf is longer than my arm span. Plus it is stretchy and pretty soft. CO 30 stitches on #15 needles. I had a good time at the party which is always nice considering how eclectic and international the group was. Good food, good friends... what better way to spend a Saturday night?
This was gifted to A's new baby boy. Done in a light blue 100% cotton and finished rather quickly. Funny thing about the button - the holes were too small for the cotton yarn and I wanted to ensure it was really secure (being for a baby and all!), so I used multiple strands of green embrodiary floss that just happened to match the fish detail. I have another of these buttons that I ought to use before I lose the button. These make really easy gifts. I need more babies to make fun stuff for :)
