This is a great dishcloth that used up some yarn ends. Somewhat difficult as each square needs some side stitches "picked up". I had to be very careful on the pick up stitches to get the right number and so the loops appeared correctly on the "right" side". Also, the corner squares are mitered which was a first for me. I did this one awhile ago, but some how never took a photo. I am starting to get a large collection of cloths, so selling some may be a good idea... if you see something you like let me know.

Sure, this one is out of order, but I had a good reason for the delay... the pattern called for tan or brown or green (or other fall colors) and I did not think I had any in my stash. But going through the yarn bin the other day, I found some sugar and cream that I had not used, in fact, did not even remember purchasing. I found tan color and a varigated pink... must come up with something for that pink ball too...

So here I present the Oak Leaf Cloth:

The fun thing about this dishcloth was the seed sitch border. It was a new stitch for me. I will be incorporating this border into other cloths. I have been finishing up little projects each night, but nothing is quite ready to show, list or sell. But some are getting close! I like the sense of accomplishment with small projects. That being said yesterday I started what may become a scarf (if I do not frog it again) - sure to take many days to finish. I had started this earlier on smaller needles, but did not really like it. It will go faster on larger needles (I hope!).

Illusion knitting that actually looks like it is supposed to! Shown here is the front and back of the dishcloth. This is the mid-October knit-a-long which I did on time as the lines appeared each day (the last day was Saturday, photoed yesterday and posted today - yeah me!). I was lucky as I got the last ball of black at the store, and I had already looked at all the other stores that sell Peaches & Cream or Sugar & Cream around here.

Contents: Yellow, orange, white and black Sugar & Cream 100% cotton yarn knit on #7 metal circular needles...

From the monthly dishcloth knit-a-long, the October design was a simple cat. This could be a Halloween cat, but I did not have any orange or black at the time I started this one. Although both sides are photoed here, it is hard to make out. This is somewhat of a problem with the picture cloths... I actually worked this one on the days the lines came up and finished on time... it was just the photoing that took me awhile. A smaller cloth than others, done on #7 needles sugar and cream in potpourri ombre, a mostly cream with splotches of blue, pink and purple. I'll make more of these since it was really easy and worked up fast. Dishcloths are fun, easy projects.

3 in 1 Checked Cloth knit a long

This was the cloth that was slated for the August mid-month knit along. I did it on my own schedule though and finished it earlier in September. While it is hard to tell here in the photo, it is really cool how the varigated colors turned into stripes on the face ot the cloth. Really, the color is more purple than blue, but I did not do any color correction on this photo. I am sure someone will be getting this one as a gift if I do not decide I like it too much myself. After completing this one, I think I can now do one of the popular ball band cloths (I frogged the first one I started). I now understand how to do the skips and keep track of them better, so the cloth turns out like it is supposed to. 100% cotton Sugar & Cream using size 7 bamboo circular needles (with a small cord, perfect for discholths)
